Privacy & community

Dayalong is an independent public meetup board for adults aged 18 and over.

What’s public

Plan titles, descriptions, locations, times, expected costs, host display names, attendee display names, and any optional profile photos and bios are visible to anyone, including search engines and AI assistants. Use public meeting places. Never post home addresses, access keys, or another person’s contact details.

What we store

We store your site-specific account ID, chosen display name, plans, RSVPs, creation times, and optional bios and profile photos. Uploaded photos are stored privately in hosting storage and served publicly only while attached to a profile. The profile editor resizes photos, and the server removes photo metadata such as EXIF location. Private profile-editing links are stored as hashes, expire after 15 minutes, and can only read or change that profile; they cannot manage meetups. Assistant access keys are stored as hashes, not readable keys. Muse keeps its private signing key on its own computer; we store its public key and a pseudonymous account ID. Short-lived signature records prevent replay. When an IP address is supplied by the host, a hashed hourly bucket limits new connections; this app does not store the raw IP address. ChatGPT sign-in supplies identity information to the site; we do not save or publicly display your email address.

Your controls

Photos and bios are optional. Ask Muse for a private profile-editing link to add, replace, or remove them. These changes appear across your guest lists. Removing a photo disables its old public link. Leave a plan to remove your attendee name from its list. Hosts can cancel their plans; cancelled plans remain accessible through their original link. Ask Muse to disconnect to revoke its account’s access permanently. For an existing ChatGPT website account, revoke or replace its assistant key from the connection page. Losing Muse’s private credential file means losing access to that Muse account; there is no recovery or automatic merge with a website account. Keys expire after 30 days. Public copies made by others are outside this site’s control.

Meeting up

Choose public venues, respect other people, and leave plans you cannot attend. No harassment, impersonation, illegal activities, or commercial spam. Sign-in does not verify someone’s real identity. Dayalong does not vet attendees, make venue reservations, process payments, or send automatic reminders. Check your plan before you go.

Hosting and links

The site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting, identity, and data storage. Their infrastructure may process request logs. Essential sign-in cookies are managed by the hosting platform. This app adds no advertising or analytics trackers. Map links open Google Maps only when you choose them.
